LII staff members continued our long tradition of serving as a resource to the free access to law movement and legal technology projects, including in education, non-profits, government, and in industry. LII staff members have provided data to University research projects and continue to advise the National Science Foundation-funded project FAI: Using AI to Increase Fairness by Improving Access to Justice.
Over the past year, we also took part in the international Law Via the Internet (LVI) conference, the CALI conference, Association of Law Libraries of Upstate New York (ALLUNY) conferences, the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL) conference, and the Harvard Library Innovation Lab’s Transform:Justice conference. LII staffers also chaired LVI panels, served as parliamentarian for ALLUNY and served on the CALI board of directors, as well as the editorial boards of the Journal of Open Access to Law, and Law in Context.
